2002年获上海交通大学公共管理本科学位，2003年获荷兰鹿特丹伊拉斯谟大学（Erasmus University Rotterdam）城市管理硕士学位，2011年获荷兰鹿特丹伊拉斯谟大学（Erasmus University Rotterdam）城市管理博士学位。研究方向为世界级旅游目的地建设、旅游国际化、全球城市、文化和旅游数字化转型。

现任上海首个重点智库、上海全球城市研究院研究员。兼任国家文化和旅游部旅游业青年专家、欧洲城市比较研究院上海分院院长、全球化与世界城市网络（GaWC）中国办公室主任、上海市大数据联合创新实验室（旅游）学术委员会副主任、上海市旅游标准化技术委员会工业文化创意旅游专业委员会委员、荷兰国家旅游研究院特聘研究员、法国昂热高商商学院客座教授、上海市金山区文化和旅游局副局长（挂职）。2023年1月被杭州市人民政府聘为杭州市旅游业高质量发展特聘顾问。

I obtained a Bachelor's degree in Public Administration from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2002, a Master's degree in Urban Management from Erasmus University Rotterdam in the Netherlands in 2003, and a PhD in Urban Management from Erasmus University Rotterdam in the Netherlands in 2011. My research focuses on the construction of world-class tourist destinations, internationalization of tourism, global cities, and digital transformation of culture and tourism.

Currently serving as the first key think tank in Shanghai and a researcher at the Shanghai Global Urban Research Institute. He concurrently serves as a young expert in the tourism industry at the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the director of the Shanghai branch of the European Urban Comparative Research Institute, the director of the China office of the Globalization and World City Network (GaWC), the deputy director of the Academic Committee of the Shanghai Big Data Joint Innovation Laboratory (Tourism), a member of the Industrial Culture and Creative Tourism Professional Committee of the Shanghai Tourism Standardization Technical Committee, a special researcher at the National Tourism Research Institute of the Netherlands, a visiting professor at the Angers Business School in France, and the deputy director of the Jinshan District Cultural and Tourism Bureau in Shanghai (on secondment). In January 2023, appointed as a special consultant for the high-quality development of Hangzhou's tourism industry by the Hangzhou Municipal People's Government.
